ABOUT ME

I’m an interior design student with a focus on atmosphere and emotional experience. My work explores how interiors reflect lived experience and support wellbeing — moving beyond surface aesthetics into more considered, meaning-led design.

My interest in interior design comes from a fascination with the emotional and sensory qualities of space — how light, texture, sound, and scale shape the way we feel, move, and exist within interiors. I’m particularly interested in how interiors hold and communicate histories, where materials and surfaces carry traces of past use and lived experience over time, informed by my research into atmosphere and the sensory experience of space.

Alongside this, I’m interested in how design can create more inclusive and supportive environments. I’m especially drawn to projects that prioritise care, dignity, and wellbeing, with a focus on spaces that feel safe, welcoming, and responsive to different lived experiences.

Throughout my studies, I’ve developed a research-led and concept-driven approach, often responding to social and emotional contexts rather than designing to fixed styles or typologies. While some projects explore women’s experiences and societal expectations, my broader work considers human experience, equity, and atmosphere across a range of settings.

I’m particularly interested in how light, layout, and spatial composition shape atmosphere and experience. I also consider the sensory qualities of materials and sustainable approaches that value longevity and thoughtful use of resources. I aim to create designs that feel considered, calm, and meaningful — spaces and objects that support reflection rather than excess.

This blog documents my projects, process, and evolving design language as I continue to define my voice as a contemporary interior designer.
